When I saw what the new phone looked like I was surprised to find that it didn't really look that different from the iPhone 4 that I have now. It supposedly runs faster and has a bigger screen and other various improvements but I was surprised how unexciting it was for the most part. With as much hype as their was I really thought there would be more improvments. Don't get me wrong it's still great. I love my iPhone and wouldn't trade it for any other phone in the world. But I think overall people were just expecting something more. One of the biggest things I was happy to hear they changed was the navigation app. The navigation on the iPhone 4 is terrible. There are no voice directions and you have to manually change the directions yourself. But the biggest upset is the new charger. I have the old charger obviously, actually I have two or three of them which is nice because I can only ever manage to find one at a time. I have an ihome of sorts that is also a radio. I also have a MacBook Pro. I know what a challenge it must have been for Apple to change all of this. All the companies that sell iPhone accessories are now going to have to completely remanufacture them. My only hope is that iPhone 4 accessories don't become scarce just because of the new charger and design. I have read some articles that say Apple is going to include a free adapter with the new phone but I have also heard that they will make all of their customers purchase it. I think it would be a smoother transition if the first one was free. This is a big change and I think Apple customers are some of the most loyal customers around. If the company is going to present this much of a change Apple needs to give their customers something to help them acclimate to this change smoothly.
